Hardcore combat-focused Metroidvania game Unworthy finally has a release date.
The game will be releasing on Steam this month on May 29th, 2018. The release date was announced in a trailer posted yesterday which you can watch below.
London based one-man indie studio Aleksandar Kuzmanovic Games has been working on Unworthy for 3 years now.
It’s a real passion project for Aleks, who left his civil engineering job to pursue full-time indie game development and has released a smaller project before this called Gunlock, which you can pick up on Steam.
Unworthy follows a mysterious armour-clad knight as they make their way across deadly locations and fight enemies of all shapes and sizes. The trailer is cryptic, leaving lots of room for speculation and theories.
Stephan’s Universe conducted an interview with Aleks a couple months ago in which you can read lots of details like his approach to the design, the mysterious story and why he settled on the constraint of no jumping.
I will absolutely be picking up this title and stay tuned for my full review early June.
